2015-2016 Season

That’s right! It’s time to grab your boards and start putting some love into those bases and edges. It’s never too early to start preparing for that first snowfall, and there are a few things to keep in mind.

Registration and Recruiting

Have you heard from your team captain yet? Have you talked up the league to your fellow skiers and snowboarders? The registration deadline for this season is December 10th, so be sure to get your forms in on time. If you’ve recruited some new members, get them in touch with your team captain or direct them to for more information.

Get Pumped for the Season

Connecticut may not usually have snow by November 6th, but Warren Miller can certainly deliver. CISC will have a table at both screenings of Chasing Shadows at the Bushnell this year. Come see some incredible skiing and riding and help promote the league to other local snow-lovers.

Kick It Off

Want to start your season off right? Mark your calendar for the kick-off party at city steam brewery in downtown Hartford on December 4th. reacquaint yourself with your team and welcome new members. and don’t forget your lucky rabbit’s foot for the racer raffle!

First Day Fit

Shake out the snow gear and check your pockets for left over goodies from last season! Then, check the fit. Does that zipper still work? Does that hole seem bigger than last year? Leave the duct-tape in the drawer and head over to one of partner shops, Ski Tunes and Suburban Sports, for the best new gear instead.

Speaking of fit… Are you ready for that first day on the slopes? Some proactive training can help make the next day less painful. Here are some suggestions for preseason conditioning. Another benefit of a little extra conditioning is added injury prevention throughout the season; read-up here.
